Catalog Description
Evergreen clump-forming perennial displays narrow blade-like, dark green foliage. Beautiful, rich violet, crested flower spikes make a nice summer accent. A superb ground cover, edging or border plant. Partial sun. Flowers held above the foliage that grows to 2 feet high. Division.
Design Ideas

With perhaps the biggest and prettiest flowers of the Lilyturf clan, Majestic produces welcome color in shade gardens. Its strap-leaf foliage can be arranged to appear either very formal as edging or quite informal in irregularly shaped drifts and clumps. All Lilyturf species are made-to-order for city gardens or condominium communities. Thrives in courtyards and atriums, where soils remain perpetually moist. Remarkably beautiful in dry streambeds or beside water gardens and fountains. Fits well into Asian-inspired schemes and as a texture contrast in Fern dells. Also charming as potted plants for greenery amidst more exotic blossoms.
Companion Plants

Majestic is a big bushy Lilyturf that makes the perfect deep-green contrast for plants with unique coloring.
Try the slug-resistant Variegated Plantain Lily (Hosta fluctuans `Variegated`) or the bronze Catlin`s Giant Carpet Bugle (Ajuga reptans `Catlin`s Giant`).
Small shade-loving shrub companions include tiny Prelude Pieris (Pieris taiwanensis `Prelude`) and Plum CrazyTM Azalea (Azalea Belgian Indian `Monea`).
