Catalog Description
One of the best lilacs for warm winter areas. In spring, spectacular clusters of single fragrant lavender flowers are produced without winter chilling! Open branched, upright form; use as a hedge, screen or accent. Deciduous. Full to partial sun. Fast grower to 12 feet tall, 6 feet wide. Tissue culture.
Design Ideas

Plant this Lilac back of the border, where it will burst with fragrant spring flowers—blooming without winter chill—then recede back while other later blooming plants take over.
Companion Plants

Let the summer-flowering Sunburst Hypericum (Hypericum frondosum `Sunburst`) and Abbotswood Potentilla (Potentilla fruticosa `Abbotswood`) brighten the base of this Lilac.
As a ground cover, or in a container within the border, use the multicolored Painter`s Palette Fleeceflower (Persicaria virginiana `Painter`s Palette`).
