This is an excellent shade-loving evergreen shrub that need consistent moisture to keep looking good. Red berries are an added plus, but be sure to plant one male plant among the females in order to set fruit. |

Skimmia mixes well with other shade companions such as Fragrant Sarcococca (Sarcococca ruscifolia), which also has red berries.
