This cultivar was collected from plants in west Texas and has become a popular garden plant. It has aromatic mounds of dark, semi-evergreen foliage that is covered with flushes of hot pink flowers much of the growing season. This plant blooms from May to October.
This plant is a good choice for a sunny perennial garden or in a foundation planting. Silver foliaged plants, such as Salvia argentea, will look good planted with this selection.
