'Longwood Blue' bluebeard is a 2'-4' tall plant with silvery-green leaves and sky blue flowers. It attracts butterflies and bees.

Blue spirea bloom on current year's growth, so prune in early spring to promote vigorous stem growth. In colder climates, such as the Rocky Mountain region, stems will often die-back in the winter, but new growth will appear in late spring.

This plant was selected from trials at Longwood Gardens in Pennsylvania.
