This is a slow growing pine with strong central leader and tight, pyramidal form in youth. As it ages, this pine opens to show a nice layered branching habit. The needles are deep, dark green.

Once established, Bosnian pine is quite drought resistent and can tolerate poor soil locations and sunny hot spots. This tree's habit make it a good addition for a formal garden as well as a good choice for smaller gardens.
