A trailing plant with large lemon-yellow flowers starting in May and June that tolerates dry soil; 6 inch huge, clear-yellow flowers are a stunning sight over the outstanding silvery-blue foliage. This introduction is a southern Great Plains native. Hoary pubescence gives its long leaves the silvery blue appearance. Blooms May until frost. Drought tolerant perennial to 4 tall. Best on well-drained sites.
