This is a small tree or large shrub that features unusual, bright golden foliage. The leaves are yellow with green tint and retain good color throughout summer. They may turn amber, burgundy, scarlet or green in fall. 'Ancot' may produce tiny yellow flowers in spring followed by the post-bloom smoky summer panicles that appear on most other smoketree cultivars.
