Special characteristics:

This plant features 12-sectioned palmate leaves and a flower that is a spathe. The spathe is purple with white and green stripes. The spathe forms a hood with a long dangling tip that hangs below the inflorescense that encloses the spadix. Red fruit appear in late summer along the spadix.

This is an exotic-looking plant to add to an area with dappled sun.
