This easy-to-grow perennial has light yellow flowers borne in tiers on tall, slender stems. The flowers attract bees and butterflies and make attractive cut and dried flowers. Shrubby clumps of dense, evergreen, grey-green foliage grow at the base of this plant and form a good groundcover.

Use this species on banks and in dry, sunny border. This plant looks especially good when paired with ornamental grasses.
