This common lilac cultivar is a compact, upright, deciduous shrub which grows 4'-7' tall with a similar spread. Lavender to light pink, sweetly fragrant flowers in dense panicles cover this shrub in May. Its dark green leaves turn burgundy or red in autumn. This shrub will tolerate light shade, but blooms best in full sun.

'Miss Kim' shrub is a nice addition to a shrub or mixed border, or screen planting. Grows in rich, moist, somewhat neutral soils. Removing faded flowers will encourage a larger bloom in the following spring. Prune immediately after flowering as this shrub's flower buds are on the new growth.
