This small tree or large shrub features white flowers that turn into bright orange fruit in the fall. The fruit hangs in large clusters and attracts birds. Its leaves change to an orange to red color in fall. This tree is tolerant of cold, wind and drought, but may be stressed by air pollution or compacted soils. The mountain ash is an ideal choice for specimen or shade trees.
