This perennial herb has maroon buds that open to pink flowers. The leaves emerge purple and change to green. The flowers are attractive to butterflies and bees. The flowers are good for fresh and dried floral arrangements.
Deadhead flowers to prolong bloom time. Fertilize in spring.
