This perennial features semi-prostrate, branching stems covered with cascading hop-like bracts and lavender florets in summer and fall. It has small, silver-veined, aromatic, green leaves.
Because of its trailing, prostrate form, this plant will look good in hanging baskets, containers or growing along a garden edge, over a boulder or low wall. This oregano is not usually used in cooking. This perennial may also be used as an addition to annual pots.
Cut back foliage in late fall. Plants need to be in well-drained soil to avoid root rot.
